Hey y’all!!
My name is Elle Williams, I am an advocate for BIPOC trans lives, a consultant, and spiritual organizer for my community. I moved to Los Angeles in February from Miami with hopes of securing a life that is more fruitful for myself and my life HAS gotten better. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, not being eligible for a stimulus check, and recently leaving a highly abusive relationship I haven’t been able to get my footing. I am currently waiting on payment from a job (and food stamps/unemployment) and funding that could turn into something long term but for now I need money to get into a more stable living space since I am unable to stay where I am much longer. Having my own space would make it easier for me to run my business, work on funding and starting an education/safe home for other trans people, start projects I have planned for sex worker safety OFF the internet, and would give me a space that I feel comfortable being in to feel safe (an attack on a trans woman happened 4 blocks away from me 4-5 days ago).
