Ellen’s Marathon Teams
Donation protected
On Sunday 1st May myself and a group of amazing people who surround me will be taking part in the Belfast Marathon as a relay team to raise money for Eating Disorder Association NI.
In 2013 I developed Anorexia Nervosa. I would love to say in 9 years I’ve beat it, but an eating disorder is something you never really beat, you learn to control it rather than it control you. It effects every part of your life. It isolates you from family members, it stops you from socialising with friends, it interferes with your love life; its much more than just a weight loss mission.
Today it’s estimated that around 1.25 million people in the UK have an eating disorder. Eating Disorders increasingly cut your life span. Anorexia, Bulimia, EDNOS are deadly.
This is something so close to my heart. People this day are still embarrassed to open up about mental health, so if this money can help Eating Disorder Association NI save someone’s life then I beg everyone to donate. Every donation big or small can make a massive difference to someone struggling.
