Elizabeth was diagnosed with AML Leukemia on April 2nd, 2017 and began chemotherapy three days later. The diagnosis came as a complete surprise.
Elizabeth is a charming, playful, and infinitely loving preschool teacher in SE Portland. She already misses her young students and appreciates all their pictures and videos. If you haven’t seen her with children, it’s really quite incredible how she connects with them.
She has very good OHSU doctors and nurses, and friends and family looking after her. Her hospital stay could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, which may include more rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
We’re hoping to raise funds that can go towards Elizabeth's medical expenses and living expenses while she is unable to go back to work. Any unused funds will go towards Leukemia research.
