Help Elizabeth Queen Kick Cancer!

Elizabeth Arias Queen is such an incredible woman, and loved by so many.  I'm very hopeful that we can show her just how much we all love her by helping her in this difficult time.

My name is Rachel, and I have been blessed with Elizabeth's friendship for about 34 years now, having met when we were teens at St. Basil’s in Methuen, MA.  She is loved by friends and family, from the places she’s lived, worked and worshiped; from New York, Massachusetts, Florida, Dominican Republic, from church, kids’ schools & sports teams, and work.  Elizabeth is a giver, a doer and a prayer warrior.  Everyone who knows her has been blessed by her faith-filled, gentle and loving ways - and her amazing sense of humor and quick wit. What a gift she is!!  

On March 21, 2019, Elizabeth was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, and started chemo in April.  True to form, she has been kicking ass and taking names in this fight for her life.  She has completed 5 long months of chemo, and is quickly approaching her first surgery date of October 8th.  This will be the beginning of another long road to recovery. There will be multiple surgeries and long recovery periods, and she won't be able to return to work for some time.

Thank God for medical professionals and for modern medicine.  I’m so grateful that she is still here with us. Elizabeth's faith has been unbelievably strong.  During the course of her sickness and treatment she has continued to set an example of a faithful servant for us, and as the mighty prayer warrior that she is, continues to pray not only for her own healing, but for others!  She's probably praying for us right now!!  She is still the same selfless heart she has always been.  

Elizabeth and Neil have done their best and have kept a positive and loving attitude throughout the process.  Unfortunately, smiles don’t pay bills. Man can not live on smiles alone!!  And smiles don't come as easy when our resources are stretched thin.

As we all know, this could happen to any one of us, and it has a huge impact financially.  So often, we feel helpless, and we wonder what we can do to help. In trying to bring comfort to loved ones in need, we say things like "Let me know if you need anything", and we hope they will.

Elizabeth isn’t going to do that.  She's not going to let us know what she needs, put out her hand and ask for help. Soooo I’m doing it for her.   
 
Anyway, here's our opportunity to do something for a person who has done so much for others.  A donation of any amount would be helpful. If everyone who loves Elizabeth and her family give a small amount, even $10 or $20, we would reach our goal in no time. 

*** And to be clear, the true goal here is that if bills are paid and things are a little easier financially, Elizabeth can focus on healing without having to worry about making ends meet, AND gets to feel how much she is loved, and that she, indeed is NOT alone!
