Liz’s pancreatic fight fund

In the summer of 2014 our friend, Liz was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.  As a mother to her young son Cooper, Liz was determined to fight and win her battle against cancer.  After months of chemotherapy, she was cancer free and Liz, her family and friends were overjoyed and grateful for that. Unfortunately, over the last 3 1/2 years, Liz has continued to face many challenges and the cancer has returned again and again.  Through it all, she has been optimistic and courageous and has been an inspiration to everyone that knows her.  Liz had to have her ovaries removed, she had a total hysterectomy at 33, and she is currently battling pancreatic cancer.  Liz has recently gone through multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatments and is now awaiting a clinical trial at UC. Due to the length of the clinical trial, Liz was forced to resign at her position at Scarlet Oaks. This was a difficult decision for her as she has always had a strong work ethic and loves her job and her Co-workers. She is hoping without the stressors of her job, she can focus on her treatment and getting the rest that she needs while spending time with her 6 year old son, Cooper. 
Anyone that has met Liz knows how truly unique and special she is. She is a friend to everyone, and anyone that meets her will have a forever friend. She will brighten your day, even though she is sick, or weak, or tired. She is always putting others before herself, she is always willing to help others, and is always there when you need someone. She is such a wonderful person, a loving and caring mother, an amazing friend, and a strong woman. We are hoping we can help Liz raise $12,000 to help her while she is away from work.
