Eli's leg amputation

this handsome man is eli,  eli showed up at my house day after christmas 2019 missing a back right foot.   Over the course of many vet visits for antibiotics and pain medication ,we discussed amputation  seeing he keeps hitting his nub and reopening it up .  There is no tissue between the bone and skin  so whenever he hits it the skin just breaks open again causing him pain  and while im ontop of his wound cleaning and antibiotics  the risk of serious infection is always there...eli is the sweetest boy! Happy. Playful  always purring! I dont know what caused this injury  but i do know  that no  living creature  should live in pain..i have him on surgery waiting list and if miracle happens  and more donations plus my own funding. Over reaches surgery costs  then the extra will be donated  to the vet clinic to help someone having a hard time or with a stray needing help!  Just so that everyone knows this is legit. The vet clinic im working with is Lakeport animal hospial in Lakeport michigan( doc meadows) my last name is hickman.
