Eli and Mommy - Our small thank you to the NHS

We as a family are amazed by the wonderful work of the NHS. On a daily basis during this time we are reminded how the doctors, nurses and healthcare workers are putting others before themselves. Saving lives, putting their own at risk when the world faces a crisis.
Trying to explain this to our children who are 3 and 5 is something hard for them to comprehend. Being at home and enjoying this time together as a family whilst others face the front line for us d on a daily basis we wondered if we could think of anything, all be it small that could make a difference.
We have found ourselves having time to reflect on what's important. With more time now available my son and I have started cycling together. Eli is 5, a great age for us to start something together we both enjoy. We are only heading towards day 3 but we've loved the quality time it's given us together. We already look forward to our rides. On yesterdays ride it came to us that we could be using this to reach a goal, set ourselves a target and make each mile count. I'm hoping this will help Eli to learn to love exercise and understand the importance of it in his life for health and happiness. Along side this we thought we can be making a difference to the crisis the world faces. This excited him and me.
We came home and Eli was excited to tell Dad our plans to set up a 'go fund me' page and raise money for the NHS doing our cycles.
Our aim... Just £1 per mile. At 5 years old 20p excites Eli so this proves the smallest amount does make a difference.
Our goal... 100 miles, 5 miles a day and we will see how we go from there.
We hope that both our aim and goal will go further than this but please help us on our way by sponsoring a mile or two. Help us in giving something small back to our Heroes in blue. We'd love Eli to understand he can help and make a difference in a time of need.
