We have successsfully launched Elephant Space, and would like to thank all who have contributed so far.
Right now Elephant Space still needs financial assistance to continue our program till the end of the school year.

Right now we are owing:

**$500 for administrative and program development costs**

**$1500 for insurance**

** $500 for food and supplies**

These are costs just to get us to the end of the school year.

Overall we are hoping to raise $5000 to run Elephant Space till 2018.

As always thank you for your ongoing support.

Imagine a space where youth are able to be their true and authentic selves in a stress-free and judgement free environment, an environment where they are given tools to navigate the world as well as support and encouragement. Elephant Space is a place where all youth can participate in their own personal growth.

Our mission is to provide mentorship programs that will train youth to work with other youth to receive peer support in a space that is inclusive and encourages involvement. This space will provide structure and many tools from leadership, coping strategies, self-care, homework help and most importantly, for youth to have the ability to make personal changes in their lives and help others. When youth are given support to move forward in many aspects of their lives, they are able to grow and learn life skills such as working in a team environment, time management and gain an understanding of how they affect each other.

Elephant Space will provide board games, activities, and mentorship development programs for youth between 12-14 years old. The space would be staffed with supportive and trained youth coaches, who can provide guidance and foster personal growth.

Elephant Space takes a preventative approach towards issues such as bullying, suicide, and isolation. This is done within the unique way Elephant Space uses board games and activites to create a supportive community. When youth are given support to move forward in many aspects of their lives, they are able to grow and learn life skills such as working in a team environment, time management and gain an understanding of how they affect each other.

In the summer of 2016, founder Milan Seki pitched Elephant Space as part of the Social Innovation Challenge. Milan had been gaining support from activists, youth workers, marketers, researchers, artists, writers, and educators in hopes of making her dream of Elephant Space a reality.

**We are also looking for board game donations.**

All donations are appreciated, Thank you for your support.
