ELASTOPLASTIC - SHORT FILM
Don protégé
Set in early 2000’s suburban Australia, Elastoplastic is a short crime drama inspired by Breaking Bad, Fargo and Three Billboards. It’s an ode to the grey hero who’s moral code is continually pushed to it’s breaking point.
The story follows a struggling young woman, Josie, who brews and sells poison in secret to financially support her pre-teen sister, Holly. Josie clings to the hope of setting a moral example for Holly, but when Michael, a frequent buyer of Josie’s product, reveals his next target is Holly’s old primary school teacher, she is forced to act. Will Josie be able to save an old man’s life, and will she be able to keep it all from Holly?
With the help from friends and family, our goal is to enter national and international festival competitions to represent what the next generation of Australian filmmakers can do.
So far, we’ve got an extremely talented cast and crew lined up to help bring this vision to life, and now we need your help in making this movie magic possible. Every dollar will count towards stunts, equipment hire, production design, costumes, locations and catering for cast and crew.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated. If you’d like to see updates as the film comes to life, feel free to follow us on Instagram!
Thank you for any and all donations, Molly and Jack.
