Avery Jane

Miss Avery Jane is a 3.5 year old girl formerly of Laurel MT, daughter of Brent and Lauren Sukut, who moved to Sidney MT last year. During the last week, our dear Avery was diagnosed with Lymphoma. She is now undergoing treatment at the Denver Children's Hospital.

Here is an entry from Avery's mother, explaining some of her wonderful characteristics:
"Avery was supposed to be due March 14th but our doctor told us I would probably go early since Gradin came a few days before his due date. Mistakenly, I took this to heart and had myself convinced she would be born on March 6th (my grandma's birthday). She didn't come until March 21st...after an induction. We have been on Avery Time ever since. If we are walking to the car, stressing that we are late and we need to hurry, Avery will stop to examine a blade of grass or a random rock because it will be the most unusually beautiful blade or rock she has ever seen. She can declare at the top of her lungs that she has to go to the bathroom ‘real bad’ but will stop her sprint to the bathroom to pet or kiss the cat. Brent fondly tells her time and time again it is her world and we are living in it."

Miss Avery has gone through a lot: multiple blood draws, scans, xrays, bone marrow biopsies, liver biopsies, had a port installed for the chemo treatment, and also had to have spinal fluid removed for further testing. Through it all she has still shown her wonderful attitude, love for people, and a tremendous amount of bravery.

We are asking for donations for her family who are with her in Denver. We have no idea how long they will be out of work and will need assistance for medical expenses, food, fuel, and still running a home with another child back in Sydney. Please consider donating or at least sharing this with friends and family. Every little bit raised will help this family. We want them focusing on Avery and her road to recovery, not worrying about bills and how to make ends meet.
