El Chico "Rocky"

Hello family & friends!

I am a firm believer everything happens for a reason. Jay and I are big on animals. We've made it our duty to always help anything or anyone in need. If its by donating to the Humane Society, rescuing an injured bird and taking him to the Conservancy , helping move a turtle from getting run over, donating food, you name it we truly love  to help. On June 2nd, 2020, this lovely dog literally walked into our life. Jay and I agreed on keeping him over night as it was pouring outside and it looked like he had been injured as his eye was swollen. The doggy looked a bit neglected as his nails were super long and he smelled wet. We posted pictures all over our social media of the doggy to see if anyone would recognize him and contact us with the owners. Jay and I both agreed we would take him to the vet and see if the pup had an owner the next day. On June 3rd, 2020, I took the doggy to get checked for a chip and he came back with  a chip. We went to Sophia's vet as Jay had an apt later that day for the dog to have his nails cut. Mind you in order for this to happen he had to get his Rabies shot before getting his nails cut and well of course we paid for that and did a quick exam of the dog.

I had provided the Vet with the number of the chip. The vet informed Jay and I that Rocky was really Chico. They also informed me they had left voicemails to the owners and that none of those voicemails were returned. Unfortunately, the family did not want this boy, so Jay and I have decided to take this lovely boy into our little family and give him the best life a doggy can have.

After making that decision. We wanted to know what was wrong with the eye and his age. El Chico Rocky is about 11-12 years old, full of love and energy.  The doctor informed us  what was wrong with his eye. Chico has glaucoma on his right eye and that he could possibly be blind. The doctor had mention possibly removing the eye if it wasn't salvaged costing the surgery over 1,000. They also informed Jay and I he has a heart murmur that is a level 3 1/2 out of 6. A heart murmur is a sound during your heartbeat cycle — such as whooshing or swishing — made by turbulent blood in or near your heart.  We took this pup not knowingly nor acknowledging the amount of health issues he had. Jay and I are willing to help this doggy live out his life at the best ability that we can. I have never done a GoFund me account but I truly believe in this case we could really use the support and assistances. Due to his age he needs to have a senior physical/blood work that will begin at 300+ dollars and only go up. Once his blood works comes back we will find out if there are any other issues such as heart issues, heart worm positive/negative, cancers, etc.

This doggy has fit in perfectly into our little family and we only want the best for him. We would really appreciate any assistance for our new family member, El Chico “Rocky” Loyola.
