Jarret & Sheri Myers MED Bills

Donation protected

This is supported by the many friends and loved ones of two of the most loving, giving and caring people on the planet.

In early 2013, Sheri was hospitalized with Pancreatitis.  She was in and out of the hosptial for the next 6 months.  Doctors could not figure out what was the root of the the problem until finally she was diganosed with Systemic Lupus.  She had lost her job due to her health, but knew it was best as she had to slow down and not push herself. She felt she was getting a handle on her health and her new way of life without working, when suddenly she was hospitalized in April of 2014 with kidney failure.  The entire time she was going through all of this, Jarret never left her side.  The love they have for each other is amazing.
After that scare, it was decided that they move from Texas back to their home town of Visalia for much needed family support.  This was a hard move as they said goodbye to their adult daughter, Maddison, who has an established life in Texas. They made the move to Visalia this summer and shortly after they arrived, their son Nick, started college at the coast and lives 2 hours away from Visalia.

Jarret, a high school math teacher, accepted a position for the 2014-2015 year at Mt. Whitney HS in Visalia, a school he had previously taught at years ago before they moved away from Visalia.   Just a few weeks into the school year, on 8/31, Jarret suffered a stroke and proceeded to spend 9 days in the hospital. This is not something you think will happen, at age 42.  Sheri was now Jarret's caregiver.

He is recovering well and is hoping to return to work very soon.  Their Texas medical insurance plan covers only a small part of medical bills because they are out of the area.  The medical plan for Visalia Unified does not become effective until 10/1.  They both have several specialists that they need to see as well as huge prescription expenses between the two of them.  Jarret's doctors all are in Fresno, a 90 min drive roundtrip.

Jarret is out of sick time and is without income until he returns to work.  Their medical bills, and prescription costs (for both of them) and gas to doctors alone are enormous.

This fund will be hopefully assist them with the stress of the bills pouring in, stress that NEITHER of them need.  BOTH of them need to have as much rest and peace as they are trying to heal.  100% of the funds raised will go to them and their bills.

"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."  Matthew 26:40
