Eichel’s Emergency Surgery

Eichel is the beloved pet of Tony and his two daughters Loren and Jenna. He was named after the Buffalo Sabres hockey player Jack Eichel. He is a 5 year old border collie, he is a gentle loving pup with so much spirit, we got Eichel as a puppy and have given him so much love ever since that day. Eichel has not had it very easy, from the day we brought him home. As we went to give him his first bath, we noticed he was covered in fleas, we brought him to a groomer who said it was a good thing we brought him in when did as he could have potentially lost too much blood for a young puppy. Before he turned a year, Eichel was diagnosed with epilepsy. When he was 3, he had 8 seizures in one day and had to be taken to the Cornell veterinary clinic 3 hours away to see a neurologist. It’s been a battle for this poor puppy, but it doesn’t end there. Last week Eichel was not being his normal playful self, he wasn’t eating and was acting out of the ordinary. After multiple trips to the vet to determine the problem, Eichel spent the weekend at the emergency veterinary clinic and had to have an emergency surgery on his small intestine. He is now at home, but still has a long road to recovery. 

We have found ways to care for our little guy thought the years, but this last bill hit our family hard, especially since my dad has been out of work since the pandemic hit. 

I am not reaching out in hopes of having this most recent bill fully covered, I am simply reaching out because if there is just a little chance I can help relieve some of the financial burden for my dad, I want to do whatever I can.
