Mary Toomey medical equipment

Mary, , my mother was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2010. She was treated with chemotherapy and radiation and has been in remission since July of 2011. She continues to be cancer free today! Unfortunately she fell and broke her arm last year and has been in a wheel chair. She is unable to care for herself independently. She also suffers from a rare side effect of the radiation that resulted in the development of normal pressure hydrochephalus. Her mobility and memory have been profoundly affected. She had a shunt surgically placed on August 11, 2014. Since the surgery she has improved and continues to make progress everyday.

We hare hosting a benefit to raise funds for her care and adaptive equipment to help her to be more independent which will help to improve her quality of life.
