Hey everyone my name is Courtney Davis. I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. I am currently a senior at the International high school of New Orleans. Recently I’ve been accepted into The Southern University A&M College In Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Attending Southern for undergrad and then going to there amazing law school is truly a big dream of mine. I’ll be majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Business. This fundraiser will help me cover some of my undergraduate expenses at least for my first year of college. I have my family’s unconditional love and support but unfortunately I can’t expect them to pay my college tuition.
After the tragic passing of my brother that’s when I knew I wanted to learn more about the ins and outs of the criminal justice system. Going into my junior year of high school, I attended the Federal Bar Association Justice Camp and this experience truly made me believe that becoming a lawyer was the career path I wanted to take. During this program I received the Best Oralist Award. That accomplishment gave me the faith and motivation I needed to believe that I can become a lawyer.
