Commemorating the remarkable 75th wedding anniversary of Holocaust survivors, Joseph and Olga Garay, Grandson and third generation descendant, Joshua Garay, will travel to Eastern Europe to film and document the story of his Grandparents survival.

With antisemitism on the rise and the increase of Holocaust denial around the world, this film serves as an educational tool to be displayed on various content platforms, debut at museum exhibitions and be incorporated into student educational curriculums.

This is a true story about hope, survival and perseverance. In a world full of pandemics, political and social unrest, this story is a beacon of light and an inspiration for millions of people.

The documentary will feature visits to both Auschwitz and Majdanek concentration camps, two places that held his family in captivity.

Joshua will explore the native hometowns of his Grandparents and meet the families that now occupy the homes that were taken from them during the war.

Both Joseph and Olga Garay will document their stories and be featured in the documentary.

Funds from this campaign will be used for the following and be deployed immediately:

1) Hiring a film crew
2) Editing of materials
3) Submission to local and national film festivals
4) Marketing and distribution
5) Travel expenses

As the Grandson of Holocaust survivors, this documentary is of incredible importance to me. From a young age, I have been fortunate to discuss the atrocities of the Holocaust first-hand with my Grandparents and learn about the horrors they faced. We have served on various Holocaust Museum boards, educated at many high schools and dedicated a portion of our lives telling the story of the Shoah.

As my Grandparents celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary, a remarkable accomplishment and miracle, now is the perfect time to share our story with all of you. Anticipated premier and completion date is Fall 2021.

Please help me fund this endeavor. This is a story that must be told and documented for generations to come. I would be incredibly grateful for your support.

This story is not for me, but the entire world.

Thank you,
Joshua Garay
