My YWAM Journey

I am terrified. Everything about this next step scares me. I have to be honest with you guys. I am so unsure of myself right now. I don't know what I'm doing. But honestly that is the most incredible part of this. I have no idea how to do this on my own. I can't do this on my own. Jesus said "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened to you" Matthew 7:7 God has called us to make disciples of all nations and to make His name known. Everyday that has a new meaning for me. God wants to be known, not because He's selfish or because He needs recognition, but because He wants us to love him, and how can we love Him if we don't truly know Him. He wants to have a relationship with us and a relationship is give and take. It is one thing to be loved but not known, but it's a whole other thing to be known and still loved. I have a fundamental fear that I cannot be loved once I am known. But God knows me, He knows my sin, my brokenness, my guilt, my pain, and yet, He still loves me. Isn't that incredible? God loves me because He knows me. And I know that's the truth for every single one of us. And God wants us to make him known so we can all truly love Him. Because once you know God it's so hard not to love Him.

I want to spread that message. I want people to know God so that they can feel that. So they can experience that. So they can know why they're on this earth, to be loved by God and to love Him.

I have been accepted into YWAM Los Angeles. Into a program called Beauty Arise. It is a DTS (discipleship training school) focused on identity and searching for who we are in christ as woman and spreading that message to girls and woman all over the world, teaching them how to walk in their God given purpose on this earth. You can learn more about it at http://www.beautyarise.org/ .  It runs for 6 months, split into a lecture phase and an outreach phase. I am so excited to dedicate six months to focus solely on my faith and my mission.
