Help us make the Effin Hormones podcast

Hi there, we're Emma, Helen, Terri and Beena - the Effin Hormones gang! 

We're fundraising to make the next series of the podcast Effin Hormones.

 

Effin Hormones is the podcast about perimenopause, menopause and health inequality.

 

None of us had heard of perimenopause before we started experiencing it. We’d heard of menopause, but we all thought that was for much older women. There’s been a taboo around this subject for too long. There’s also been a lack of support for many women from their healthcare professionals.  So many women have to go private - if they can afford to - to get the support they need.

 

We don’t think this is good enough.

 

So - we’ve been working to change that by talking about it on our podcast in a fun, accessible, inclusive way.

 

So far, we’ve made two series with no funding, but we need some support for the next one.

 

Help us raise awareness and help other people going through this to not feel alone, by donating so we can make the next series.

Your donation will go towards covering the cost of: 

Editing (it takes a day to make each episode, once we've recorded it) 
Kit - things like microphones and headphones for guests 
The designer who makes things for social media 
Software - we pay to upload the website and have it distributed to the different podcasting platforms 
Hosting the website on Wordpress

We're planning on hopefully raising some  funding, then releasing the next series with an episode each month.   As we all do this on top of our day jobs, one of our biggest challenges can be to get us all together at the same time to record! We think monthly will enable us to carry on with this with greater longevity.
