Luna’s Emergency Surgery

UPDATE:
Dear Family and Friends,
after weeks of symptoms, loss of appetite, and an invasive exploratory surgery, we recieved a diagnosis. Our sweet Luna, only 9 months old, underwent a severe infection and inflammatory response following her spay surgery on 12/26/2017. She was re-opened on 2/5/2018, and her surgeon found swollen lymph nodes and a blood clot the size of a fist that had compromised several of her organs. After three hours on the table, the blood clot was finally removed along with a piece of her intestine that was permanently damaged. Luna has been in critical condition since then. Yesterday, she ate for the first time in weeks and if all goes well, we will be bringing her home with us tonight. We are not in the green quite yet, but Luna is a fighter and we are so grateful for all of your prayers and good vibes.
