The reason behind this Go Fund me page is to help out our cousin Frankie Padilla, or as many family and friends know him, Neno.
Neno has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. There are only 1-4 stages.
Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a type of cancer that originates in the lymphatic system and is said to be the sixth most common cancer in the United States. The lymphatic system is part of the body’s immune system and helps fight infections and other diseases. Starting Monday, Neno will begin extensive chemo therapy treatment. This treatment will last approximately 6 months, in which time Neno will be forced to go on disability.
Now a little bit about Neno.
For those of you who have never had the pleasure of meeting him, well let me just tell you that he’s a big teddy bear! He is a kind, funny, hardworking, smart, a great fiancé, and most of all a GREAT father. He is the type of person that would do anything to help out those around him. He can make you laugh so hard it feels like you did a million sit-ups the next day. If you have had the opportunity of knowing Neno, you will have heard all the stories he has to tell. He loves to tell the story about when my grandparents took him to Tijuana to visit family. Our grandma told our grandpa to take him to get a haircut and our grandpa told the lady in Spanish to give Neno a perm! He is also the king of imitation! Neno is just a person you can always count on!
Neno has three daughters, his fiancé Amanda has a son, and together they make a perfect family. Personally, I feel that God put Amanda in his life for a reason. She is a strong woman, takes good care of Neno, and we know she will be his main support throughout his healing process.
I am asking for everyone’s help!
We are trying to raise funds to help with his medical needs, and lost wages.
All we want Neno to do is get better. Stressing on how to pay for medical expenses is the last thing we want him to do.
Our family is asking for prayers, and donations. Anything will be greatly appreciated!
