Edwin Dimas Ganados Ruano, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the age of 81.

Born on March 25, 1944, in Loon, on the island of Bohol in the Philippines, Edwin lived a life grounded in faith, love, and service. He was a devoted follower of Christ, a lover of music and the arts, and a man known for his kind spirit, radiant smile, and infectious laughter. His presence brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew him.

Edwin was a devoted servant of the Lord and an active member of his church choir, where he found joy in singing praises and sharing his love of music. He was a gifted guitarist and singer, and his home was often filled with melodies and laughter. He also had a deep love for tennis—both playing and watching the game brought him great happiness.

Edwin dedicated his life to his family and community. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his humility, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, compassionate heart, and enduring faith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marian, and their four children: Melody, Jihan, Edmar, and Carlo (married to Ali). He also leaves behind beloved grandpets, extended family, and countless friends who cherished him deeply.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27th, at 5:00 PM at Winford Funeral Home, 8514 Tybor Dr, Houston, TX 77074.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28th, at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079. After the Mass, we will begin the funeral procession to South Park Cemetery in Pearland, where a final committal will take place at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to help cover medical and funeral expenses would be deeply appreciated.

Though he is with Our Heavenly Father, Edwin’s love, laughter, and legacy will remain in our hearts forever.
