Edward Allen Perry Memorial Scholarship Fund

Hello,

I'm Robin Yap and the husband of Edward Perry. He passed a week ago at only 57 years old, and he had much more to share to the world. He's been a corporate hospitality leader, opened an organizational transformation consulting practice, and became a part-time professor teaching concurrently in New Jersey at Fairleigh Dickinson University and in Toronto at Seneca College, George Brown College, Centennial College, and Canadore College. He has written four university textbooks from publishers like Pearson and McGraw Hill.

Edward and I have been together for 32 years and through the decades have tried to give back to the communities that we've had the honour of living in - San Francisco, Manhattan, Toronto. We have been able to share a long life together going through the really low challenges of living in expensive cities to the highs of successful careers.

In the last decade, we decided to launch two student scholarships at George Brown College in Toronto, Canada, in each of our names to provide an opportunity for deserving 2SLGBTQI+ student leaders - domestic or international - to shine with less stress and concern about their financial capabilities. This fund will create additional scholarships to increase the opportunities for many more students to continue to thrive.

In honour of Edward Perry and to continue his legacy of education, quiet leadership, and strong sense of authentic self, please donate so together we can create opportunities for students to shine and be their best authentic selves.
