The right to education!

On May 21st, a group of 16 intrepid students and 9 staff members from Sotogrande International School (SIS) will be doing an impressive skydive jump from approximately 5.000m high! That's 1 full minute of free fall and about 6 - 7 minutes with the canopy open. A tandem jump with an instructor tied to our back!

As well as a personal challenge, the team has decided to do the jump as a fundraiser towards our student-driven NGO, The Kindred Project (www.thekindredproject.gl), and its educational activities in Uganda. 

The Kindred Project and SIS have supported the Nabugabo Community Learning Centre (NCLC) in Uganda since 2012, contributing towards:  

- Construction of the NCLC campus
- Guaranteeing access to education for over 100 children aged 4-12 years old through sponsorship programmes
- Donations of educational resources
- Professional development for NCLC staff
- Provision of safe drinking water for children of the school
- Food provisions to prevent malnutrition that affects 33% of all children in Uganda
- Access to vital medical supplies and facilities
- Distribution of solar powered lamps for local families
- Building lifelong friendships... and much more!

We feel extremely passionate about supporting this project and call for your generous donations towards the NCLC fund for Secondary Education, which will allow students at NCLC to continue with their secondary education at St. Kizito secondary school. All funds raised will be used to pay for annual school fees & all the extra resources needed by the children and requested by the school (eg: uniform, paper, brooms...).
