STEMSSA is a 100% Non Profit Company based in London, that is dedicated towards Educating Remote African Children, who otherwise go without!
Through our Online Learning Management System (LMS) we can deliver a Universal Curriculum to all registered students, no matter their location nor their financial status.
2020 has seen the creation of our Early Child Learning - Pre School LMS Platform, Beta Testing will be completed by 15th December 2020 for a full product launch in early January 2021 to every African child who need an education.
2021 will see our product development team along with industry experts creating our Phase 2 Curriculum for students from Year 1 to Year 12, all available online! For this to happen we rely on the generosity of the public, our corporate sponsors, small business sponsors and Humanitarian Aid Funding.
All STEMSSA students are issued with their very own FREE Student Pack, so they can access learning materials either online or by our new offline option (when the offline Tablet is in range of Wi-Fi, it will Sync, upload completed work then download new modules for that student to take home & complete).
Every STEMSSA student enrolled receives the following:
1 x 10' Tablet (model varies depending on donations & funds)
1 x 10' Tablet Case/Protector
1 x Solar Recharge Station
1 x Reusable Recycled Water Bottle
1 x LMS Membership (Username & Password) + Parents Account
1 x 10GB Free Wi-Fi pack (every month)
For our students that are located in really remote areas that have limited access to an internet connection, a new community center will be constructed, that is in a Wi-Fi designated, so now all students can have a place where they can meet and learn.
Each Community Center has the following:
1 x Free Standing Pergola with Solar Roofing
20 x Power & USB Ports for charging
1-5 Outdoor Settings (table & chairs)
1 x AtmosBlue Air-to-Water Vending Machines (produces <2000L/Day)
Why We Developed Our Online LMS Platform:
STEMSSA'S Executive Team have personally travelled (at their own expense) to hundreds of remote areas throughout Sub-Saharan Africa to help identify the best possible solution when it comes to standardizing educational packages.
Every School or Learning Center we visited all had the same complaints, limited resources (books, pens, pencils, notebooks & basic teaching materials).

Every student expressed so much excitement just to get the opportunity to learn the same way Western World students do! (and so they should...)
Additionally by visiting in person, we knew exactly what was required for this project to become a success. It was imperative for us to be able to design the student and community packs above, just by asking what exactly is they need.
Majority (90%) of properties we visited did not have running water or electricity, and those who did, it was not your standard metered power supply:
STEMSSA has the vision that Every Child deserves the right to an Education. For far to long has social stature played a part in how, when and where kids are educated. With our LMS Platform this discrimination stops once and for all.

In British, Irish and Australian company law, a company limited by guarantee (CLG) is a type of corporation used primarily for non-profit organisations that require legal personality. A company limited by guarantee does not usually have a share capital or shareholders, but instead has members who act as guarantors of the company’s liabilities: each member undertakes to contribute an amount specified in the articles (typically very small) in the event of insolvency or of the winding up of the company.
A company limited by guarantee can distribute its profits to its members, if allowed to by its articles of association, but then it would not be eligible for charitable status.
Like a private company limited by shares, a company limited by guarantee must include the suffix “Limited” in its name, except in circumstances specifically excluded by law. One condition of this exclusion is that the company does not distribute profits.
Until 1981, it was possible in the United Kingdom to form a company limited by guarantee with share capital. Under section 5 of the Companies Act 2006, new companies cannot be formed as a company limited by guarantee with a share capital.
