Ed's Truck Accident

My husband Charles Edward Tollison Jr was in a horrible accident in June 8, 2017. He was leaving work at Plant Vogtle and the store, and was going down River Rd. The doctor's stated that he has suffered extensive injuries to his body, and is extremely lucky to be alive. Both femer bones are crushed, both hips are fractured, his left tibia bone was fractured, and 2 of his arteries were cut on the left leg by the calf area, but the doctor's were able to save 1 of the 2 arteries that were cut. He also fractured his left hand in 2 different places. He also broke a few ribs, severely bruised his lungs. His right lung did collapse and they found air pockets in the right lung, so he had a chest tube, as well as being on a ventilator for 4 days in the beginning because he was unable to breath on his own. He also cut his liver and spleen which are okay now. He has gone through multiple surgeries, and still has more ahead to come. Right now they are fighting an infection in his leg. The donations would help pay for medical expenses the insurance company will not cover, and the household bills. My husband has been the financial provider for our family. He was paying for me to go to school, and also taking care of our 2 children. I am currently looking for a job to help, but I know that alone will not be enough to maintain household bills, school supplies and school cloths for our children, and hospital bills.
