Edson Medical Residency

Hello, my name is Edson Sampaio, I'm 25y/o and I recently graduated in Medicine in Mozambique, Africa. which is my dream since I was 8y/o. I partook and was a pivotal member of an organization that visited multiple orphanages and managed to form a long-lasting bond with them. I also volunteered in an association created to help the victims of a very devastating cyclone IDAI that hit the coast of Mozambique in March 2019. I'm currently doing a voluntary internship in Santa Maria Hospital, Lisbon. My dream has always been to do my medical residency in the United States, as it has one of the best medical programs in the world; specializing in Pediatrics, as I love working with kids, they are so sincere and very trusting and I love working with their families, and working in these orphanages I realized that kids aren't able to help themselves, so I decided to that it would be amazing help them through medicine in sickness and in health. In order to achieve this, I must complete 4 assignments (USMLE - United States Medical Licensing Examination); three computer-based and 1 practical. The costs for these assignments is roughly $5,000. Additionally, I am required to complete an externship in the United States to receive a US certificate of medical experience which includes letters of recommendation. For this trip, I would also need to pay for my airplane ticket and accommodation all of these rounds up to almost $5,000.
