Our sweet Eden's story began in November 2017 when our family learned she has an extremely rare brain tumor in which she will live with for the rest of her life. The brain tumor is named, Craniopharyngioma. Since Eden's brain surgery in November, Eden has endured 29 days of proton & photon radiation therapy, continuous doctor appts & checkups with Neurosurgeon's, Neurologist's, Endocrinologist's, Oncologist's, Audiologists' Neuro-Opthamologist's and Neuropsychologist's. Also, many MRI's and multiple tests and now the increasing side effects of seizures and potentail strokes due to the radiation treatments. At some point in Eden's life she will also be diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency which can cause unconsiousness.
Our family, especially our sister Ann's family, have been consumed with the health of our sweet Eden. We have reached out to so many and have received the most overwhelming support spiritually, emotionally and financially. Well, we humbly ask you once again to consider supporting Eden. She is in desperate need of a service dog for protection. When she has seizures the dog will alert someone to assist Eden immediately. This dog, which Eden so perfectly would like to name "Joy", will save Eden's life. In learning more, service animals need to be trained to the specific needs of the sick or disabled person. Eden's dog will have to be trained to help protect her from seizures both small and severe. Unfortunately even though every doctor has told our sister a service dog is dire, insurance does not help cover the cost. It is up to my sister and her husband to make this happen and their Eden fund is nearly depleted due to all of the necessary medical expenses endured thus far. We hate to ask you for more donations but if it means saving our sweet Eden, our family will do anything to make this happen.
