Eddie Nixon's Cancer Treatment

As many of you know, Eddie, was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the neck, tonsil and tongue two months ago that has also spread to several lymph nodes.  What we thought was everyday run of the mill tonsillitis  turned into the big "C" word. 

Eddie will be undergoing 35 radiation treatments over the course of 7 weeks and 7 chemotherapy treatments (one per week to "soften" the cancer making it more susceptible to the radiation)  in Sacramento, CA which is about 3 hours away from his family.  This means he will be traveling back and forth between home and Sacramento while he can (there will come a time during treatment that he will have to stay in Sacramento as he will be too sick to travel) and while the weather holds out. 

Funds raised here will go toward his housing costs and costs for procedures not covered by insurance.  Some will also go to help provide for Eddie's young boys while he is unable to work.  We are hoping for an October 23rd start date.  Unfortunately he will be undergoing the bulk of his treatment during the holiday season but as of right now time is of the essence to get this show on the road.
