Eddie Holman III - Prosthetics Drive
Donation protected
Eddie Holman III had his 2nd leg amputated on Friday November 24, 2017.
Once he was a thriving/traveling musician playing his drums in different bands, studio sessions and churches. He also taught drum lessons at Gibson School of Music for many years.
In 2007 Eddie was setting up to play at a gig and fell. He broke his inner and outer ankles. He had surgery in December 2007 to repair them and a month later his ankle became infected. After a battle with a horrible staph infection his organs began fighting a battle to save his life. Although he's still here the battle advanced various diseases inside him with one being RENAL FAILURE. Eddie goes to dialysis three times a week and not always feeling his best. In May 2017 he began having problem with his other leg which caused him to be wheel chair bounded for months. His Dr did surgery on him to repair the shattered bones in his right good ankle, but that too became infected. It was decided that he would need another amputation to save his life once again. Now he is a double amputee.
Eddie so desperately wants to return to the things he once loved..... like playing his drums and being able to drive himself around.
Eddie will need to have his vehicle modified to assist him with controlling the pedals and a leg that can give him the flexibility to hit his base drum.
If you know Eddie then you would know his character. He is such a caring and loving guy, very honorable, upstanding and a good friend.
Let's get Eddie back up on his feet again.
Thank you in advance for your donations. Your help is so appreciated.
