Eddie Has No Health Insurance!

My nephew, Eddie Cotugno, suffered from a spontaneous pneumothorax (a collapsed lung) on Dec 9th and has been in the hospital since. He initially had 2 procedures to try to re-inflate his lung, but the lung would not stay inflated. So, on Dec 20th, he had surgery to repair his lung. Now, he will need to recover for several weeks and hopefully, the surgery will be successful.
Unfortunately, Eddie is going to be facing enormous medical bills. If you've had surgery and/or a lengthy hospital stay, you know the charges are astronomical. Unfortunately, Eddie does not have health insurance. He's 30 years old and was seemingly very healthy. He works for a union that offers no group health insurance plan, something Eddie has been campaigning for!
In the summer, Eddie works at Saratoga Performance Arts Center as an electrician and the rest of the year he works at various theaters and venues as a stagehand. He was working at Proctor's Theater when he had chest pain and difficulty breathing and was taken to Ellis Hospital by ambulance.
If Eddie doesn't work, he doesn't get paid at all and he will be recovering for probably 2 months, and therefore unable to work and earn money. He is obviously worried about how's he's going to pay his regular bills as well as a huge amount of medical bills.
Those of you who know Eddie know that he's a special guy! He's great to his family and loved by his friends. He's a hard worker and works whenever and wherever he can, even at times traveling to NYC. Your support of Eddie would be greatly appreciated!
