HOPE FOR CHRISTY

All of us who know Christy are immediately drawn to her smile. It's been a source of fun and sharing time over the years. Unfortunately, now that same smile hides heartache and fear. Diagnosed seven years ago with Paraganglioma, Christy has exhausted local medical approaches.

I am happy to announce that Christy has been approved for a clinical trial (Novell Radio-peptide Targeted Therapy for Neuroendocrine Cancer) in Texas starting September 28, 2014.  As a trial, it is not covered by her insurance plan.  The current out-of-pocket expenses are expected to exceed $40,000.  As you see, we need to help!  I'm setting up this fund for any donations that you are willing to make to assist with her fight.  We are currently set up for financial donations, but hope to include airline miles and Marriott Reward points in the near future (Marriott is the hotel that has partnered with the cancer center).

You may not know that Christy's sister Veronica lost her battle to this disease within two years of being diagnosed at the age of 30. Please join me in doing all that we can to assist with this opportunity for Christy.  Let's all join "Team Christy" in everyway possible, with the overall goal of returning a healthier wife and mother to her husband Ron and son Parker.
