Ed Whitsett Liver Campaign

Dear Family & Friends:  In August 2015 Ed was diagnosed with liver cancer.  He underwent two procedures in attempt to destroy the tumors while on the transplant waiting list.  After a year and a half he was fortunate to receive a donor liver on June 9th.  The surgery was performed in San Francisco and was very successful.  We were required to remain in the Bay Area for several weeks, close to the hospital in case of any medical concerns.  We are forever grateful to Andy and Danna for opening their hearts & home to us.  From the time of the cancer diagnosis, medical expenses have grown and become a concern.  Ed is retired and receives a fixed pension.  Sallie works as a Teacher's Assistant at the local school in Foresthill where she is close to home.  In addition to existing medical bills, more will come.  Continuing travel to and from San Francisco, additional medical co-pay and prescription expenses will continue to incur for the next 2 years.  If you are able to assist our family in any way, we would be very Blessed and Thankful.   With Love and Appreciation, Ed and Sallie Whitsett
