Ed Amick Wrestling Center

Hi. I'm Milo Smith, 1975 alumni of North Mason High School. The wrestling alumni oo fNorth Mason High School are raising money to rename the Wrestling room to the Ed Amick Wrestling Center, to honor Coach Amick for his 46 years of coaching Wrestling in the North Mason School District.

Mr. Amick has made such a huge impact in the lives of thousands of North Mason Students and Wrestlers alike. We are having a renaming ceremony on August 19th, 2023, and hope to have as many wrestlers and former students attend to show Mr. Amick and his family of the lasting lessons he taught us.

We started this process is 2019, but covid just shut everything down. Coach Amick has Parkinsen's, and the condition has been taking a huge toll on the coach. I'm asking everyone that was able to have Coach Amick as a teacher, and or coach, help anyway they can.

The funds will go through the Bulldog Booster's club, a non-profit group that funds a few scholarships and plays a big role in raising the money for uniforms and equipment for all sports in the North mason School District.

The money raised will go to buying 2 new wrestling mats, with Amick Wrestling Center printed on the corners. And pay for the Signage on the East Addition of the Community Gym, both inside and out. A trophy case will also be purchased showcasing Coach Amick's Washington Wrestling Coach of the year; twice. and in 2013, Coach Amick was inducted into the National Wrestling Association's Hall of Fame for a Lifetime of Distingusished Service Award.

If we exceed the cost of these items, all the excess funds will be distributed by the Bulldog Boosters to any cause they deim neccesary. The boosters just bought new wrestling uniforms for the Bulldogs.

Coach Amick's Life lessons have helped me become the person I am today, and I've heard from so many of you of the impact he has had in their lives as well. Please give what you can.
