Eco-Wakening is a theatrical circus performance that takes the audience on a journey of environmental and personal transformation.
Witness one woman engage with her all too comfortable life -- from the laziness of creating excess waste and unconscious over-consumption to engaging in the
burning of fossil fuels, as the plot unfolds into an awakening of a new way of living in harmony with the majesty of natural world around us.
The production brings together the worlds of modern cirque, live and electronic music, dance and theater to present this compelling story. Blending movement with activism, the production creates important and inspiring performance art for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
For each performance, Eco-Wakening is working with local sustainability groups to help bring forth the action out of art. From building gardens to river cleanups and trail restorations, the goal is to extend the inspiration from the stage into real life. We invite the public to join these environmental efforts and endeavors. The idea is to help empower local communities with the tools and inspiration to take action.
All funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward leveling up the show and contributing to rehearsal time, costuming and funds to support our Sustainabile Community Action. We have some custom-crafted and practical gifts that we offer in reward for your generosity.
We are so grateful to be able to bring this inspiring show to the Front Range. The support that we feel from the community is tremendous. Many of our friends, family and community already have a good degree of environmental awareness. Our ultimate goal is to bring this show to areas of the country that still need some inspiration. A successful tour in our home state will be proof that we can make the leap to other communities in the US.
