Ecobricks EcoHouse funding campaign

PlastoBrick started in late 2019 with one singular goal: replace conventional, environmentally damaging, and expensive types of construction such as bricks, wood, and cement with a material that exists all around us: plastic. Specifically, waste plastic.

Plastic bricks would solve three major problems: The lack of affordable housing in many countries, the environmental impact of the construction industry, and the gargantuan amounts of plastic waste in our world.

So this is why I started this project around a year ago, and this summer of 2020, we've finally found a method of producing plastic bricks that is as strong as, if not stronger, then traditional building material. The brick is made through a combination of heating (the plastic must first be melted) and then heated injection moulding using a hydraulic press and a mold.

As the pilot project, we are creating a small shelter for ourselves to test the bricks out.
Your money will
A) buy us the equipment we need to scale up the bricks
B) fund the construction of our pilot project

C) help us collect the very large amount of waste plastic we need to create enough bricks for the house
.

Thank you!

Ps) Below are some photos of the brick (the first two are from an alternate version developed with organic fibers to strengthen the plastic).
