Easton's fight for life

(Creating this gofundme for my best friend)

Rob and Angela Purcell just brought another beautiful baby boy, Easton,  into this world on August 30, 2017.  Big brother Wyatt (22 months old) loves his sweet brother. Delivery went smooth with no complications.
Easton's parents noticed he was sleeping a little more than normal and not wanting to stay awake for nursing. All of the sudden, on Sept 16th, they decided to take him to the ER because his breathing seemed strained. As soon as they arrived, the 8-person team of doctors and nurses quickly swept him away and began working on him. They then rushed him up to NICU with huge concern of his heart not functioning the way it should. We can imagine how terrifying this must be as a parent. . waiting to hear whats wrong with their baby boy.

(The doctors kept telling her that he is a fighter because most babies that come in the condition he was in at the ER never make it to the NICU) Angie said those were terrifying words to hear as parent.

Little Easton was progressively getting worse, his left side of his heart was not pumping the blood to his major organs.  They moved to a better equipped pediatric cardiologist hospital to get him the care he needed. They made the decision to put him on a ventilator to keep him alive.

Several doctors have come to the conclusion that Easton may need a heart transplant. They think that there was a virus or bacteria that made him extremely sick and caused cardiac distress, or he could have a heart problem. If it is a virus, that does not mean his heart function will return, because it may be too damaged from the virus. Doctors keep telling them that with more tests and time they can hopefully narrow down what the problem is so it can be fixed.

Doctors are saying this could take weeks or longer, depending on what needs to be done. A heart transplant is a very expensive surgery, and all of the equipment and monitors he is on everyday (for 5 days now) is very expensive. My hope is for them to be able to focus on their sweet boy and not have to worry about the money aspect right now. Anything you can donate, or share they would be very grateful for.

As of today- new update from his mommy:
Easton had another echo-cardiogram today and his heart function is still in poor shape. They will do another echo in a few days to see if it has improved. Easton got a feeding tube put in thru his nose today, in hopes of giving him some of moms milk and seeing if it will stay down. Doctors told her today that it will be at least another couple weeks at the hospital (which is 3 hours from home for them).

Any donations collected here go straight to Angela and Rob to help with baby Easton's medical and living expenses. Please pass along and share as much as possible. This little guy is a fighter and not ready to give up, he has already surpassed doctors expectations and has a strong will to live. If you are unable to donate, please share and PRAY for this sweet boy.
