In October 2019, three consecutive earthquakes hit the southern Philippine island of Mindanao causing massive damages to structures, injuries and casualties. Thousands of homes have been completely destroyed by these quakes which left thousands of people displaced and forced to take temporary shelter.
My hometown of North Cotabato is one of the hardest hit areas. As a result, many residents have been sleeping outside under makeshift tents while others who lost everything are forced to evacuate their communities. These residents, including members of my family, are cold, hungry, sick and in need of basic necessities.
I am asking for help to provide relief support. There is an urgent need for water, food, medicine, tents, clothes and blankets.
Your kindness and generosity will make a big difference in their lives.
