Lundyn's Trek:Learning to Walk

Lundyn Mobley is the strong-willed, life-loving, 3 year old superhero daughter of Ashley (that's me, in case you're wondering) and Isaac Mobley.
In December 2012 at 16 months old, Lundyn was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy. There is no cure for Cerebral Palsy, but there does exist a life changing surgery for those with spastic Cerebral Palsy. The surgery is called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR), and Lundyn was just approved for it!
On September 8, 2014, we made the journey from West Virginia to St. Louis, MO to meet with pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. TS Park at the St. Louis Children's Hospital. Dr. Park determined that Lundyn is a great candidate for the surgery and is confident that after the surgery, Lundyn will be able to finally walk independently, and eventually skip, run, and dance; so many of the things that make up childhood, she'll *finally* be able to enjoy. Not only will SDR help Lundyn walk, it will also prevent future orthopedic surgeries and prevent bone deformities that are so often caused by spasticity.
Lundyn is scheduled for surgery in October.
She will spend a week at the Children's Hospital post-surgery and will come home to a grueling 6 months of daily physical therapy. Lundyn has a long journey ahead of her, but I know she will be thrilled with her new abilites.
Donations will be applied to Lundyn's medical bills (our insurance plan is willing to cover 80% of the surgery costs, but we are responsible for the remainder and the physical therapy sessions) and travel expenses.
This surgery is truly a dream come true for us. Please help Lundyn learn to walk.
