Revival of the Chateau Remix

The Chateau Remix was launched in September 2016 to preserve the history of hand dancing in the District of Columbia, and to provide an outlet where folks from the Washington Area could come and dance their cares away without fear and judgment. After the 40-year manager of the Chateau passed away, not only did folks mourn his loss, but we also were mourning the loss of this decades old venue. And that’s when we stepped in. We stepped in because we wanted to give folks the opportunity to continue to come out and socialize in a safe and familiar place, a place where friendships were born and renewed. The Chateau Remix continued the tradition of providing a social outlet for our special needs neighbors too. After a rough start to our business venture, the Chateau Remix was entering its 5th year of operation when COVID-19 hit! Initially, and in line with the DC Mayor’s declaration of a public health emergency on March 14, 2020, which required non-essential businesses to cease operations, we had to close our doors. Unfortunately, for the Chateau Remix, the bills didn’t  stop, and now we are three months late on all of our expenses, including, rent, utilities, and other vendor contracts. 

Now that the City is in its first phase re-opening, and we are encouraged by the decrease in the number of new coronavirus cases and deaths, we are gearing up to re-open the Chateau Remix. But we need your help! WE NEED TO SURVIVE!  WE WANT TO SURVIVE! WILL YOU HELP US SURVIVE THE COVID-19 SHUTDOWN?
