TJ Lost Everything in Fire

Hello my name is TJ and since August 2024 I’ve lived in Altadena. I rented a room in a beautiful home of a wonderful family. Unfortunately last Wednesday as we were evacuating we were forced to leave our vehicles. My 2004 Saturn that I had bought in October of 2024 unfortunately has burned up completely. We got the confirmation from the fire department that everything on the street we lived on is gone. I also worked in Altadena and my job is in the city as well. My job is willing to relocate me because it too has burned down, but the new store is over 27 miles away from my friends house I’m staying at . The night we evacuated I had to grab what I could out of my car and head out. I have been fortunate to have a friend allow me to stay with him and his family. I’m 28 and was just trying to get my life together while starting back college after I just accomplished paying off all my debt but this has deterred my plans completely. I was living under my means and trying to save up.

I now have to find a new place to stay, potentially a room in someone’s house because it’s cheaper than a studio apartment. I have to pay first months and security deposit. I also need to try to find a new reliable car. It pains me to have to resort to this but I can be prideful during this trying time. If you could give what you can and send a prayer my way it would be greatly appreciated, for I have lost everything. Everything but my faith.
