Help me fund my Masters

For those of you who know me, you will know my whole life has been revolved around music. It has saved me in the darkest moments of my life and has been a huge factor in my growth as an individual.

I have recently graduated with a first class honours degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I have made the decision to return to this institution to obtain my MMus (Master of Music postgraduate degree).

Even though my name is on the certificate, by no means did I do it alone. Without the support of my community of family and friends, I would not have got to the stage I am at in Cardiff and for that I am beyond grateful.

I need your support now more than ever.

During my undergraduate degree I was lucky to have numerous opportunities throughout the four years, all of which I have embraced wholeheartedly.

However, my time at Royal Welsh has also meant I have faced a lot of financial hardship and stress.

I already have a full loan from student finance, and with that support being decreased by half for postgraduates, I am at a complete loss as to how to meet the costs of another two years of study and living expenses. I juggle two part time jobs alongside my studies and still cannot meet the financial demands.

I don’t often speak out when I’m struggling, and I’ve always been told that I come across like I have my life together. But this is me breaking the illusion and reaching out for help.
