Sierra Leone

As many of you know, I fell in love with the people of Sierra Leone after my first 9 month missions trip in 2008. I truly believe that one day I will be there full time but in the meantime there is an Ebola crisis going on and I can't help but get involved. Although I can't physically get there, I do have several contacts on the ground. On September 19 the county will start a 3 day lock down. During the "lock down" each home will be searched looking for people who have any signs and symptoms of Ebola. Many people are concerned because most visit the market daily for food and with a lock down everything is to be shut down. In hopes to help out those in need I will be partnering with a local Pastor who will be providing food and water for families in need.

I lived with Pastor Andrew for a month during the summer of 2011. His love for God and attitude of giving overwhelmed me. Not only did he provide me and four others with a place to stay, his whole family (8 kids) have without asking anything in return. They literally gave us their beds, collected water for us to bathe, and fed us! The families mindset was, what belongs to us is Gods, so it's yours as well!
