To all of my friends and family who know me best, I've always had a hard time asking for help when it comes to me. That changed on Friday.
Our Great Granddaughter Lydia Raquel Alvarado was born on Friday, September 5. She weighed 6 lbs even and is a little beauty. For those that don't know, Lydia was born with a heart defect called Ebsteins Anomaly. Lydia was transported Saturday morning via Air Vac Helicopter to Phoenix Children's Hospital. This is a wonderful hospital and this is where the miracle begins. The doctors will try to let her stabilize as long as humanly possible before they have to perform surgery on her little heart. The doctors are trying to hold off on surgery at least until the end of next week. Our little miracle girl has a long fight ahead of her as this will be the first of many surgeries coming up in her young life.
I'm setting up this page to help our grandkids, Nate and Stephanie Alvarado. They will have an enormous amount of medical bills ahead of them. On top of this, Nate's business is currently shut down for remodeling and he doesn't get paid during this time off. Our grandkids faith has been unshaken by all of this. They know that it is all in God's hands. Their strength amazes me.
