The Frank Barrila Medical Expense Relief Fund

As many of you know, Frank Barrila recently traveled to Florida to visit his family.  Within a few days of his arrival, Frank was in the hospital struggling to breathe. He was placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at AdventHealth Celebration, a hospital in the Orlando area, on 11/22/2019.   

Frank has been on oxygen for years but his condition deteriorated suddenly and he now requires continuous life support to breathe.  He is conscious and aware of the situation. The doctors are trying to find a way to get him breathing on his own once again. As of the writing of this intro, Frank has been in ICU for over three weeks.  

Frank does have health insurance through Carol's employer, but the AdventHealth Celebration hospital is out of their network.  This means he and Carol will have out of pocket expenses that are out of reach without our help. 

Also, Carol is unable to work during this time since she is caring for Frank in Florida.  When we do get Frank out of the hospital, there will be daunting travel expenses, hospital bills, procedure bills, doctor bills and even more that we cannot foresee.
