Those of you close to Andy Lewis and Alyssa Morrow have probably already heard the terrible news. For others, I will attempt to keep this brief and provide updates. If you are in a financial place to help, please do so. Even more importantly, please do your best to pass this link along to as many people as possible. There is power in numbers and Andy and Alyssa need considerable financial assistance for current and unforeseen needs as a result of this life altering injury.
Andy was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident on Saturday August 18, 2018 on his return from the Cripple Creek Veterans Motorcycle Rally. The doctors immediately realized the seriousness of his multiple injuries which included a severed spinal cord at T5. This injury is permanent and Andy will be paralyzed from the chest down for the rest of his life. He is currently positive, hopeful and determined with full use of his arms but after a long hospital stay and many months in rehabilitation, Andy will have to learn a new way of day to
day life.
This amazing couple were planning on getting married in Florida on October 11, 2018 and that obviously needs to be postponed. They plan to have a small local wedding in the near future to officially dedicate their love for one another.
Andy himself is a veteran of the United States Navy and has worked as an air traffic controller at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and currently works for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). In his free time, Andy was involved with the American Legion. This is a bump in the road but he’s going to continue to have the strength, determination and hope to conquer all obstacles that could possibly be thrown his way. Andy is passionate and devoted to come out of this on top.
