Support for Mary Amelia

Mary Amelia is a bright and bubbly nine year old.  Last month as she was preparing to start a new school year, her world was torn apart.  Mary Amelia was diagnosed with a brain tumor.  She was suddenly thrust into a whirlwind of doctors appointments and testing.  The doctors were hopeful that the tumor was benign and could be removed.  On September 4th she went into surgery but the tumor was not what the doctors had hoped for - it is malignant.  As Mary Amelia now recovers in the pediatric intensive care unit with her parents by her side, the plan for her treatment is still uncertain.  There is more testing to be done, radiation is in the plans, possibly chemotherapy.

This wonderful family is facing a long and difficult road to bring Mary Amelia back to full health.  They need our prayers now more than ever.  They will also be facing a financial burden.  They live approximately 45 miles from the hospital so they will have previously unexpected expenses of gas and parking for the very frequent medical appointments as well as having to eat on the run.  This can be a significant expense when you consider the lost wages.  Will you help us to alleviate the financial burden for this family?  Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated.  All money collected will go directly to Dana & Paul.
