Faithful to Felines ~ Covid has our cats worried!

Faithful to Felines (“F2F”), is one of West Michigan’s most successful animal rescues. Through volunteer only dedication, thousands of rescued cats and kittens have found forever homes. Prior to adoption, rescued felines are lovingly cared for and heal mentally and physically in a clean, safe and pleasant cage-free environment that is the hallmark of F2F’s success.
Operating a rescue well requires financial practicality and a steadfast determination to administer its finances within its means, which F2F has meticulously done. F2F’s financial wellbeing has been aided in large part by a weekly fundraising bingo, which has been a safe and recession proof form of income for the last 17 years. Much to F2F’s alarm, however, bingo is not COVID-19 proof and its bingo has been shut down for seven consecutive months. Regardless of an announcement allowing bingo to resume in early October, attendance is uncertain and its continued ability to remain open during this pandemic as fall and winter approach remains unclear. Despite F2F having overcome almost insurmountable odds to build its remarkable rescue, F2F has met its match with COVID-19 and is struggling with uneconomic uncertainty.
To be blunt, because of COVID-19, F2F’s operations are under severe threat and with that, the rescue itself. As the saying goes - Winter Is Coming. Utility costs are going to rise, yet F2F must continue to care for the 100 plus cats it already has under its protection right now AND manage to survive until its main fundraising operation can reliably produce the funds it needs. While F2F has been able to find ways to secure food, litter and other supplies, winter utility costs far exceed what it can provide. These costs comprise of monthly electric and gas, insurance, snow plowing, and a yearly sewer assessment for our 4,000 square foot building. To get F2F through the winter to March 2021 it will need approximately $11,400.
F2F’s incredible journey to build this rescue has been built on thousands and thousands of volunteer time and no effort has been spared. F2F wishes nothing more than to continue to honor those volunteers and our rescues by being able to continue doing what it does best. This rescue is in grave danger and we need your help. F2F humbly and respectfully is pleading for donations to aid F2F financially this winter until it can begin to sustain itself again. Please consider donating. No amount is too small, and every penny will be gratefully accepted.
