We have been struggling with health issues for around 7 years or so. It began with our now 7-year-old showing ADHD and SPD symptoms and getting increasingly worse. He was eventually diagnosed with numerous food sensitivities and we had to alter our way of life. It was expensive but it worked.
About two years ago my wife fell ill. Thousands of dollars in testing yielded nothing, according to her doctors. Through a lot of digging, she discovered the link to her silver/amalgam fillings and the health issues she’s experiencing. Her body is unable to detox the accumulated heavy metals on its own. We are using specialized diet and detox to help the process while trying to add supportive therapies and medical assistance that understands what she’s going through.
We are recently facing additional challenges with another child, and the financial strain of further testing she needs to support her healing. We are in the process of applying to a MAPS doctor and hope that would be covered by insurance, but it will take a couple months just to get an initial appointment. We continue to explore options while recognizing we probably can’t afford the copays even when they are covered.
We are hoping to raise some funds in order to help pay for our child’s tests, and some to cover the remaining dental work my wife needs before continuing some of her therapies. Any left after those would go towards new doctors or complimentary healing modalities, like physical therapy. We are asking for help to keep us on our journey to getting better so we are able to have a full life together with our 4 children. Asking for financial assistance is and has been difficult. As my wife’s health was declining, I was working a lot and even stopped eating in order to make ends meet. I came to realize that this was not the answer as it would only make our situation worse. We are needing these tests and procedures done as soon as we can, and your help in any amount will get us there more quickly. Thank you for your help and prayers.
