Longtime Realtor and Friend
DONETTE VINCENT
needs our help.
Donette had not been feeling well for awhile. In early November she had an emergency cholecystectomy, removal of gall bladder. Problems were encountered with the surgery, and her health continued to spiral downhill. She was having serious breathing problems and was put on oxygen. In early January, a risky lung biopsy was performed; and she was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. More clearly described as spontaneous condition of unknown cause that leaves heavy scarring of the lungs. She has never been a smoker. There is no cure at this time. She is on oxygen full time, is house bound and is unable to work.

The medical costs of this disease are horrendous. The most effective medication being prescribed is Esbriet (pirenidone), costing just over $95,000 a year. In addition, she needs in home care, transportation and is hospitalized regularly. She has a dear niece who is taking on that task; while close friends are helping get through the steps to get her Social Security Disability and on long term care assistance. Anyone ever being involved in the process; know it is a long tedious waiting game. Yet the bills mount every hour, and she desperately needs help.

Donette was born in Oregon. She grew up in Wyoming. She graduated from Glenrock High School in 1974 and then attended the University of Wyoming. Her early adult years were spend in Casper, Wyoming.

In the early 1980’s, Donette made a trip to Colorado Springs and immediately fell in love with the city. She was a young single Mother, living in Rock Springs, Wyoming and working as an on-site agent for a builder. She arrived back after her trip, and began making arrangements to get her license in Colorado and move. And did just what she said; she moved to Colorado Springs and lived her life here.

She has been active in the real estate community throughout the last many years. She raised her son here. She was followed to Colorado Springs by her parents and both siblings, who also had families and live in the community. Hundreds of families, live in homes that Donette assisted in reaching the dream of owning a home. And now, we are hopeful that you will be able to help Donette through a very difficult time in her life.

It is with much gratitude, we ask that you donate to her GoFundME medical account. Each and every donation, regardless of size will be very much appreciated. This account is a Medical Beneficiary Account; funds will go directly to Donette and your donation is considered a charitable contribution and can be written off your taxes.

We are thanking you in advance and wishing you a blessed future. Thank You!
