My name is Mojgy Khalili and I have created this GoFundMe campaign for my beloved friend and partner Christopher Snell. He is in need of our support and prayers.
Christopher is an amazing man. He shows the world by his own demonstration how we can be more compassionate and understanding towards each other. If we truly wanted, we could always choose to stand in our power and deal with everything through kindness. Christopher has an amazing gift of understanding relationships. Through his blog and website he is always helping couples or individuals not only in their quest for Self Discovery but also a better, healthier relationship with their partners. Christopher had cancer when he was 6 years old. His cancer was a very unique kind of teratoma. He had a golf size tumor in his chest which held 13 live fetuses. The tumor had a tail which wrapped around his spine behind his heart. Back in the 60’s this was a very new thing for the doctors (he made it to the medical books!). There were over 700 doctors present at his surgery in Boston. But as unique as this was, it was also new for the doctors doing this type of surgery. There was damage done during the surgery which has come back to haunt him now at age 52. As a consequence of this learning curve for doctors, he is now dealing with sever scoliosis. Where the surgery was done on his spine, the doctors not only removed muscle; but also a piece of his back bone which is now collapsing and is causing him excruciating nerve pain. He’s been in pain for the past 8 years on and off. But now it’s extreme and unavoidable. He is currently in the process of going to different doctors and it looks like he will yet again have to go under the knife to fuse some bones together and/or create more space for the nerve endings in his back. Chris's need for pain relief is immediate. Chris and I are in the process of scheduling appointments one after another as soon as possible just to get to the point of surgery.
Asking for this type of help is always difficult for everyone. It seems our sense of independence and pride can get in the way of "asking". But as Christopher always reminds me; we can get through anything with love and kindness. So, here I am asking for your prayers and your generosity in helping Chris through his journey to a more productive and healthier physical body. Our need is immediate. Our grateful thanks and love be with you always.
